Fitch Ratings affirms Tunis Re’s rating

Fitch Ratings has affirmed the “AA (tun)” Insurer Financial Strength (IFS) Rating of Société Tunisienne de Réassurance (Tunis Re), with a stable outlook.

The rating reflects the reinsurer’s leading position in the Tunisian market, strong capitalization, and growing international presence.

According to Fitch, Tunis Re continues to demonstrate solid underwriting performance, posting a combined ratio of 83.7% in 2025, supported by a low level of natural catastrophe losses. The company also reported a return on equity (ROE) of 10.1% for the same year.
