Generali has received approval from the relevant authorities to acquire 51% of its joint venture Generali China Insurance Company (GCI) from CNPC Capital.
Valued at 99 million EUR (106.7 million USD), this transaction raises the Italian group's stake in the Chinese joint venture from 49% to 100% of its capital.
This move is in line with Generali's strategy to consolidate its presence in the rapidly growing Chinese market.
