Hannover Re announces two new promotions

Hannover Re has announced two key promotions within its senior management team.

Kai Aschenbach has been appointed General Manager. In his new role, he will oversee the implementation of core IT initiatives and the standardized integration of the company’s platforms. Aschenbach joined the German reinsurer in 2022.

Vincent Hermenier has been promoted to Managing Director, responsible for Non-Life Treaties (P&C) for Europe, Asia, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East. He succeeds Sigrid Klass, who retired on 30 June 2025 after a distinguished 35-year career with the company.

Hermenier has been with Hannover Re since 2004, where he has held a number of management positions over the past ten years.
