Increase in the number of insurance agents in Indonesia

According to Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI), insurance agents will continue to play a key role in the Indonesian market during the next five years. On a longer term, the generalization of online sales constitutes a threat for the survival of the business.

With a total number of 540 058, the number of licensed agents in Indonesia has risen by 4.9% in the course of the first quarter of 2018.
