International General Insurance opens office in GIFT City

International General Insurance (IGI) has obtained approval from the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) to establish an office in India.

The new entity, an IFSCA Insurance Office (IIO), is located in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City).

The IIO will operate as a reinsurance branch of International General Insurance Company (UK) Ltd., IGI’s UK-based subsidiary.

Headquartered in Bermuda, IGI maintains a global presence through offices in Oslo (Norway), Malta, Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Casablanca (Morocco), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), London (United Kingdom), Amman (Jordan), and now India.
