Listed Tunisian insurers: H1 2024 turnover

The total turnover of the five Tunisian insurers listed on the stock exchange reached 716.599 million TND (227.3 million USD) for the first half of 2024, up by 9.6% over one year.

STAR maintains its position as market leader with a premium volume of 235.264 million TND (74.6 million USD). In second and third place are Astree and Assurances Maghrebia, with a respective premium income of 160.89 million TND (51 million USD) and 154.435 million TND (49 million USD).

In fourth and fifth place are BH Assurance and Assurances Maghrebia Vie, which closed the first two quarters of 2024 with a turnover of 103.326 million TND (32.8 million USD) and 62.684 million TND (19.9 million USD) respectively.

The reinsurance company Tunis Re, also listed on the BVMT, posted written premiums amounting to 118.558 million TND (37.6 million USD) as at 30 June 2024.
