Malta, an alternative destination for UK insurers and reinsurers after Brexit

According to the public/private body "FinanceMalta", Malta could become an attractive destination for UK insurers and reinsurers, wishing to retain their European business after Brexit.

Just like Ireland, Malta is member of the European Union and has a flexible regulatory environment. The country is currently the only jurisdiction having the protected cell company (PCC) structure. This status is a unique asset once the UK quits the European Union.
