The Moroccan insurance market posted a turnover of 17.2 billion MAD (1.7 billion USD) as at 31 March 2024, up by 1.8% over one year.
Non-life premiums rose by 4.6% to 11.7 billion MAD (1.2 billion USD), while life underwriting declined by 3.7% to 5.5 billion MAD (500 million USD).
Benefits paid by insurance companies amounted to 9.4 billion MAD (930 million USD), representing a 10.4% increase compared with the same period of 2023.
Investments allocated to insurance operations totaled 209.7 billion MAD (20.7 billion USD).
