Moroccan insurance market: turnover as at 30 September 2023

The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) has published the Moroccan market's key figures as at 30 September 2023.

Insurers' and reinsurers' overall turnover (excluding exclusive reinsurers) has grown by 1.4% over one year, reaching 43 billion MAD (4.1 billion USD).

Non-life premiums have progressed by 6.8% to 24.1 billion MAD (2.3 billion MAD), representing a 56% market share.

Life premiums amounted to 18.9 billion MAD (1.8 billion USD), down by 4.6% compared with the same period of 2022. They account for 44% of the total portfolio as at 30 September 2023.
