The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) has published statistics for the Moroccan market to 30 September 2024. All insurance and reinsurance companies (excluding exclusive reinsurers) recorded a 4.8% increase in overall turnover to 45 billion MAD (4.6 billion USD).
Non-life premiums climbed 5.3% to 25.4 billion MAD (2.6 billion USD), or 56.4% of the total portfolio for the first nine months of the current financial year, with a market share of 43.4%.
With a market share of 43.6%, the life business closed the first three quarters of 2024 with underwriting income of 19.6 billion MAD (2 billion USD), up 4.1% year-on-year.
