Moroccan insurance market: turnover increase as of 30 September 2021

The Supervisory Authority for Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) has released the results of the Moroccan insurance market as of 30 September 2021.

All insurers and reinsurers recorded a 10.5% turnover increase with a total of 39.249 billion MAD (4.3 billion USD).

Non-life premiums grew by 7.3% to reach 21.273 billion MAD (2.33 billion USD). They represent 54.2% of total premiums written in Morocco as of 30 September 2021.

With a 45.8% market share, life underwritings posted a 14.6% evolution with 17.976 billion MAD (1.96 billion USD).
