OdysseyRe appoints two Co-Chief Underwriting Officers for the EMEA region

Tegwen Gromellon and Anne-Claire Serres have been appointed Co-Chief Underwriting Officers for OdysseyRe’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) division, succeeding Gaël Le Païh, who is retiring after 36 years with the company. The appointments will take effect on 1 July 2026.

Based in Paris, Anne-Claire Serres joined OdysseyRe in 2018 as France Market Director. In her new role, she will oversee the company’s operations across France, Africa and the Middle East.

Tegwen Gromellon, meanwhile, joined the reinsurer in 2004 and has held several senior leadership positions over the past two decades. He will now oversee the rest of Europe, including the company’s representative office in Stockholm, Sweden, which covers the Nordic markets and Turkey.

OdysseyRe is the reinsurance arm of the U.S.-based insurer Odyssey, a group owned by Fairfax Financial Holdings.
