Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance: results 2021

Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, a non-life insurer, has recorded a slight increase of 0.5% in its turnover in 2021. Written premiums went from 19 549 billion KRW (17.9 billion USD) in 2020 to 19 650 billion KRW (16.5 billion USD) a year later. The combined ratio is gaining 1.6 points to reach 102.9%.

The net profit has increased by 42.5% to stand at 1 093 billion KRW (919.03 million USD), compared to 767 billion KRW (704.66 million USD) by the end of 2020.

The operating result reached 1 550 billion KRW (1.3 billion USD), which is a growth of 36.9% over one year.
