SCOR shares boosted by speculations over resumption of talks with Covéa

According to the British magazine Insurance Insider, Covéa has reportedly resumed negotiations for the acquisition of SCOR.

This information caused SCOR's share price to jump by 6.31% on the Paris stock exchange on the day of publication ( 10 September 2024). However, the French reinsurer denied any negotiations with the mutual group.

As a reminder, the two groups came into conflict in 2018 after Covéa submitted an offer to buy SCOR. This dispute ended in 2021.
