The Société Centrale de Réassurance (SCR) published its financial results as per 31 December 2021. Established at 2.615 billion MAD (279.81 million USD), the turnover slightly decreased by 0.6% compared to 2.633 billion MAD (292.32 million USD) in 2020.
The net income rose from 318 million MAD (35.3 million USD) by the end of 2020 to 311 million MAD (33.27 million USD) in 2021, thus decreasing by 2.2% over one year. The net technical result of retrocession increased by 19% to reach 207 million MAD (22.15 million USD).
The shareholders' equity stood at 2.664 billion MAD (285.05 million USD), rising by 2.8% compared to 2020. The return on equity (ROE) reached 11.7%.
The Moroccan reinsurer was rated AAA by Fitch Ratings and B++ by AM Best.
