The General Insurance Committee (CGA) has published its results for the Tunisian insurance market for the first quarter of 2026.
Total market turnover reached 1.401 billion TND (474.2 million USD), representing a year-on-year increase of 10.5%.
Non-life insurance premiums grew by 8.8% to 1.073 billion TND (363.1 million USD), while life insurance and capitalization premiums rose by 16.2% to 328.2 million TND (111.1 million USD).
As of 31 March 2026, claims paid by direct insurance companies amounted to 585.4 million TND (198.1 million USD), up 18.4% compared with the same period in 2025.
