Turaco collects funds for its development in Africa

Turaco has raised 1.2 million USD to finance its expansion on the African continent. This sum is provided by Gan Ventures, Mercy Corp Ventures, Musha Ventures and a group of private investors.

For the record, Turaco is a Kenyan start-up specialized in the distribution of life and health insurance products to low-income populations. Its current portfolio holds approximately 30 000 insured.

Turaco also intends to form partnerships with local companies and institutions in order to distribute its insurance products at a low cost.
