Amazon RxPass, a 5 USD subscription for unlimited medication

Amazon has been offering a new service called "RxPass" since 24 January 2023.

The subscription allows Amazon Prime members to purchase generic drugs for 5 USD per month that treat more than 80 common health conditions: high blood pressure, acid reflux, anxiety, and more. Prescription medications can be obtained in unlimited quantities and at no additional cost.

With RxPass, patients no longer need to resort to insurers, unlike the current system in which the cost of treatment is covered by a mutual or a health insurance company.

As a reminder, the e-commerce giant has been working for several years on the development of its insurance activities. In October 2022, the American giant put online a homeowner's insurance comparator in the United Kingdom.
