Abdelhakim Berrah, new Delegate General of the UAR

Abdelhakim Berrah has been appointed Delegate General of the Algerian Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (UAR). He is taking over from Sid Ali Ouzzane. The appointment became effective on 1 February 2024.

A graduate of Warwick University in the UK, A. Berrah has an extensive and varied professional background.

Over the course of his career, he has held the positions of Senior Executive at Société Nationale d'Assurance (SAA) and CEO of Compagnie Algérienne d'Assurance et de Garantie des Exportations (CAGEX).

A. Berrah has also chaired the Financial Governance and Economic Policy Commission of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CNESE), the Commission for the Organization and Supervision of Stock Exchange Operations (COSOB) and the Scientific Council of the INSAG Business School in Algiers.
