Reinsurance: 17 foreign brokers approved to operate in Algeria

reinsurance brokersA ministerial order dated 14 September 2023 has now authorized 17 foreign reinsurance brokers to operate in the Algerian market.

These companies have been granted approval by the Insurance Supervision Commission (CSA) to participate in reinsurance treaties or cessions with licensed insurance and/or reinsurance companies and branches of foreign insurance companies licensed in Algeria.

The brokers in question are:

  • Willis Limited
  • Miller Insurance Services LLP
  • J.B. Boda Reinsurance Brokers Private Limited
  • Chedid Europe Reinsurance Brokers Limited
  • Groupe Med Reinsurance Brokers Limited
  • Afro-Asian Insurance Services LTD
  • Lockton (Mena) Limited
  • Atlas Reinsurance Consultants (ARC) S.A
  • Nasco Karaoglan France SA
  • Aon UK Limited
  • United Insurance Brokers Limited (UIB)
  • Al Wasl Insurance Brokers Limited
  • Cabinet d’Assurance et de Réassurance Labidi & CIE
  • Apex Insurance & Reinsurance Brokers and Consultancy
  • Marsh Limited
