Gaston de Souza, new General Manager of Générale des Assurances du Bénin

Gaston de Souza has been appointed General Manager of Générale des Assurances du Bénin (GAB). The appointment became effective on 1 September 2023.

G. de Souza is a graduate of the African Insurance Institute (IAA), the Catholic University of West Africa (UCAO Benin), the Institut Supérieur de Commerce International de Dunkerque - Côte d'Opale (ISCID-CO), the University of the Littoral Opal Coast: and ESG MBA in France.

He joined GAB after nearly 17 years of professional experience with NSIA Assurances Bénin, where he held several management positions, most recently as Deputy Director of Claims and Benefits.

For the record, GAB has recorded a turnover of 2.2 billion FCFA (3.8 million USD) in 2019, ranking ninth among Benin's insurance companies.
