Ahmed AbuShanab, new CEO of ASCANA

Ahmed AbuShanabAhmed AbuShanab has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Arabian Scandinavian Insurance Company (ASCANA), 93% owned by Sukoon Insurance since May 2023.

The new CEO holds a Bachelor's degree in mathematics applied to economics from Birzeit University (Palestine). He is also a certified member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

He started his professional career in 2008 with Sukoon Insurance, formerly known as Oman Insurance Company. In his 15 years with the Emirati company, A. AbuShanab has served in a number of positions, most recently as Head of the Northern Emirates region.
