Over 6.5 million employees registered in the Emirati unemployment insurance scheme

Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE)The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has recorded over 6.5 million registrations in the unemployment insurance scheme for the period from 1 January to 1 October 2023.

Those who haven't yet registered may face a 400 AED (108.9 USD) fine.

By way of reminder, the UAE unemployment insurance scheme came into force on 1 January 2023. The deadline for registration was set for 1 October of the same year.
