AXA: Q1 2023 results

AXAAXA has published its main activity indicators for the first quarter of 2023.

As at 31 March 2023, the French group's turnover amounted to 31.8 billion EUR (34.6 billion USD), increasing by 2% (in original currency) compared to the 31.2 billion EUR (34.7 billion USD) recorded at the end of March 2022.

Non-life premiums have progressed by 5% to reach 18.6 billion EUR (20.2 billion USD). The health, life, savings and pensions activity recorded 12.8 billion EUR (13.9 billion USD) in written premiums, dropping by 2% over a year.

The asset management class of business, on the other hand, has posted a turnover of 400 million EUR (435 million USD).

The solvency ratio stood at 217% against 215% as at 31 December 2022, representing a 2-point improvement.

AXA is expecting an operating result exceeding 7.5 billion EUR (8.2 billion USD) for the full year 2023.
