AXA, Tikehau and Unilever invest 126 million USD in Biobest

BiobestThe fund, managed by Tikehau Capital and specializing in regenerative agriculture, has recently made its first investment, placing 120 million EUR (126 million USD) in Biobest, a Belgian company specializing in the development of alternative solutions to pesticides.

The selection of this first candidate was based on analyses carried out by AXA Climate, the AXA Group entity dedicated to climate and environmental adaptation.

For the record, AXA, Tikehau Capital and Unilever set up a fund in May 2022, aimed at investing in projects that promote the transition to regenerative agriculture, that is, practices designed to strengthen or to naturally restore soil quality.

Each company had contributed 100 million EUR (110 million USD) to the initial capital raising.
