Results for the first three quarters of 2023, SCOR finds its rhythm once again

ScorAfter recording a net loss of 1 027 million EUR (999 million USD) in the first nine months of 2022, SCOR is back to profits in 2023. The French reinsurer posted a net profit of 650 million EUR (688 million USD) at the end of September of the current year.

For the period under review, the gross written premiums reached 14.444 billion EUR (15.285 billion USD), against 14.827 billion EUR (14.429 billion USD) a year earlier.

The P&C combined ratio stood at 88%, which represents an improvement of 32.7 points compared with the same period of 2022.

The shareholder's equity declined by 7% to 4.459 billion EUR (4.719 billion USD). The return on equity (ROE) amounted to 20.2% at the end of September 2023.
