SCOR: results as at 30 September 2022

SCORDuring the first nine months of 2022, SCOR has recorded a turnover of 14.827 billion EUR (14.429 billion USD), representing a 13.6% increase over twelve months.

Non-life premiums (P&C) stood at 7.463 billion EUR (7.262 billion USD) while life and health underwriting (L&H) totaled 7.364 billion EUR (7.166 billion USD). During the period under consideration, the non-life combined ratio reached 119.5%.

The French reinsurer has sustained a net loss of 509 million EUR (495.323 million USD) by the end of September 2022 against a net profit of 339 million EUR (394.654 million USD) during the same period in 2021.

SCOR's result is mainly impacted by natural catastrophe claims, which have cost the group 907 million EUR (882.629 million USD) as at 30 September 2022. Hurricane Ian alone resulted in losses worth 279 million EUR (271.503 million USD) for the company in Q3 2022.
