Thierry Abeloko, new Managing Director of SCG-Ré

At its meeting held on 19 October 2023, the Gabonese Council of Ministers appointed Thierry Abeloko to the position of Managing Director of Société Commerciale Gabonaise de Réassurance (SCG-Ré). He is taking over from Andrew Crépin Gwodock, who has managed the company since January 2012.

Aged 50, T. Abeloko holds an MBA in Business Management from the Institut des Hautes Etudes Economiques et Sociales (IHEES) in Morocco, a PhD in Economics and Public Finance from the Paris Dauphine University and an MBA in Insurance Company Management from the French National School of Insurance in Paris.

He joined OGAR Vie in 2005, before moving to the civil service in 2010, where he held a number of management positions in various Ministries.
