Aon acquires Global Insurance Brokers

As part of its expansion in India, Aon has acquired Global Insurance Brokers, a composite broker licensed by the Indian regulatory authority (IRDAI). The transaction is still pending approval from the relevant authorities.

Both companies will continue to operate independently until the deal is finalized, which is expected in the coming months.

Upon completion of the transaction, Global Insurance Brokers will operate under the Aon brand and will be headed by Jon Pipe, CEO of Aon India Insurance Brokers.
