Generali: 2023 results

Generali has ended the 2023 financial year with a turnover of 82.466 billion EUR (91 billion USD), up by 5.6% compared to the 79.019 billion EUR (84.4 billion USD) posted in 2022.

Life premiums amounted to 51.346 billion EUR (56.7 billion USD), against 31.12 billion EUR (34.3 billion USD) for the non-life business.

The net profit progressed by 67.7% from 2.235 billion EUR (2.4 billion USD) as at 31 December 2022 to 3.747 billion EUR (4.1 billion USD) one year later.

The operating result reached 6.879 billion EUR (7.6 billion USD), representing a 7.9% increase over one year. The combined ratio improved by 1.4 points to 94%.

The company's equity stood at 29 billion EUR (32 billion USD) on 31 December 2023, with a solvency ratio of 220%.

A dividend of 1.28 EUR (1.4 USD) per share will be proposed at the next General Meeting scheduled for 24 April 2024.
