Top 3 Moroccan insurers in H1 2023

ReunionData published by the Moroccan Insurance Federation (FMA) has revealed that, in the first half of 2023, local companies recorded a 3.9% increase in their overall turnover to 31.068 billion MAD (3.1 billion USD).

With written premiums amounting to 5.695 billion MAD (567.4 million USD) as at 30 June 2023, Wafa Assurance is still the market leader, with a market share of 18.3%.

Next in line are Royale Marocaine d'Assurance (RMA) and Mutuelle Taamine Chaabi, with a premium income of 4.687 billion MAD (467 million USD) and 3.757 billion MAD (374.3 million USD) respectively, or 15.0% and 12.1% of the total premiums written in Morocco in the first half of 2023.
