Jacques de Vaucleroy to become Chairman of Swiss Re

Swiss Re's Governance and Nomination Committee has chosen Jacques de Vaucleroy to fill the position of Chairman of the Swiss reinsurer's Board of Directors. J. de Vaucleroy is currently acting Chairman of the Board since the departure of Sergio P. Ermotti in April 2023.

J. de Vaucleroy will be proposed for election at Swiss Re's next Annual General Meeting scheduled for April 2024.

The new Chairman has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Over the course of his professional career, he has served in a variety of senior management positions with companies such as AXA and ING.

He joined Swiss Re's Board of Directors in 2017 as a member before becoming its Vice-Chairman and Lead Independent Director.
