The role of insurance in financial inclusion in Tunisia

TunisiaSkander Naija, General Manager of AMI Assurances, believes that insurance plays a crucial role in Tunisia's financial inclusion and digital transformation.

That said, the sector is still under-exploited in the country. This is reflected in a 3% penetration rate, below the global average of 7%.

The Tunisian population is under-insured against natural catastrophes, bodily injury and other risks.

To address this situation, the expert is calling on insurers to improve their communication, simplify their offers and facilitate access to insurance products.

These comments were made during a panel discussion held as part of the 25th edition of Réalités magazine's international forum.
