Road safety in Tunisia: decline in the number of traffic accidents in 2022

The figures published by the National Road Safety Observatory (ONSR) show a 10.63% decrease in the number of road accidents for the period between 1 January 2022 and 1 September 2022. During the first eight months of 2022, the Tunisian roads recorded 3 246 accidents against 3 632 during the same period in 2021.

During the period under review, the number of fatalities dropped by 7.51% to 616 while the number of people injured regressed by 3.01% to 4 873.
