Tunisian insurance market: turnover as at 30 September 2022

The Insurance General Committee (CGA) has published the Tunisian market's main activity indicators as at 30 September 2022.

During the first nine months of the current financial year, local insurers have achieved a 13.5% increase of the overall turnover which amounted to 2.409 billion TND (729.23 million USD).

Non-life premiums have progressed by 8% to reach 1.756 billion TND (531.56 million USD) by 30 September 2022. Meanwhile, life and capitalization underwriting totaled 653 million TND (197.67 million USD), growing by 31.6% compared to the same period in 2021.

During the period under consideration, the amount of settled claims stood at 1.156 billion TND (349.93 million USD), showing a 6.8% increase over one year.
