Turnover of listed Tunisian insurers in H1 2023

The five insurers listed on the Tunis Stock Exchange (BVMT) recorded a 3% increase in their overall turnover as of 30 June 2023. The premium volume reached 651.609 million TND (210.4 million USD) compared to 632.286 million TND (205.4 million USD) in the first half of 2022.

STAR tops the ranking with 212.665 million TND (68.7 million USD) in premiums. It is followed by ASTREE and Assurances Maghrebia with half-year turnovers of 148.18 million TND (47.8 million USD) and 143.535 million TND (46.3 million USD) respectively.

BH Assurance and Assurances Maghrebia Vie, ranking fourth and fifth, reported respective written premiums of 91.26 million TND (29.5 million USD) and 55.969 million TND (18.1 million USD) at the end of June 2023.

The reinsurer Tunis Re, also listed on the Stock Exchange, recored a 15.6% increase in turnover to 105.407 million TND (34 million USD).
