Kudzai Bingepinge, Klapton Re's new CEO and Principal Officer

Kudzai BingepingeKudzai Bingepinge has been appointed CEO and Principal Officer of Klapton Re, the Zambian reinsurance company.

K. Bingepinge is a graduate of Saint Mary's University (Canada), the Insurance Institute of Canada and the American Institute of Chartered Property Casual Underwriters, among others.

The new CEO has 17 years of professional experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry.

He joined Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Company of Canada in 2007, before moving to the Swiss Re Group in 2012, where he held a number of senior positions.

Klapton Re began operations on 1 October 2021 in Lusaka, Zambia. The company is licensed by the Insurance and Pensions Authority to underwrite life and non-life reinsurance business in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
