Emmanuel Aryee Mokobi, new CEO of Prudential Africa

Emmanuel Aryee MokobiEmmanuel Aryee Mokobi has been promoted CEO of Prudential Africa, replacing Matt Lilley. The appointment will take effect on 1 January 2023.

Based in Kenya, the newly promoted CEO will be overseeing the British insurance group's eight African subsidiaries in Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Uganda, Zambia, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and Togo.

E. Mokobi is the first African CEO to lead Prudential Africa. He joined Prudential in 2014 where in eight years of operation he has assumed three leadership positions namely:

  • April 2021-July 2021: CEO of Prudential Life Insurance Ghana
  • August 2014 to date: Regional CEO for Southern and West Africa
  • March 2022 to date: Regional CEO for East and Central Africa

E. Mokobi is a graduate of the Kwame-Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana), the University of Ghana Business School, the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK) and the Stellenbosch Business School (South Africa).
