According to Clyde & Co, Asia Pacific reported a 13.3% decline in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the insurance sector in 2023. A total of 52 transactions were completed in 2023 against 60 in 2022.
The most active countries in the region in terms of number of transactions are Japan (23), Australia (9) and China (6).
