Compensation guide for victims of road accidents in Morocco

Autorité de Contrôle des Assurances et de la Prévoyance Sociale (ACAPS)The Moroccan insurance regulator, the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS), has published a compensation guide for victims of accidents caused by land motor vehicles.

Available on the Moroccan authority's website, the document comprises three main parts:

Part 1:bodily injury and compensable damages

  • persons involved
  • bodily injury: what can be compensated

Part 2:Compensation procedure

  • medical expertise
  • assessment rules
  • payment of compensation

Part 3:delays in compensation and limitation periods

  • damages in the event of non-payment
