Jul 2011 AM Best has granted Arab Orient Insurance Company a B++ rating for its financial strength and bbb+ rating for its long-term credit (compared to the bbb rating granted before).
Both ratings have a stable outlook, reflecting the implicit support of the shareholder Gulf Insurance Company, and the importance of Arab Orient in the group. Arab Orient continues to post good underwriting results in 2010 (4.636 million JOD, that is, 6.590 million USD) and ranks high on the Jordanian market.
The turnover reported in 2010 amounted to 53 267 129 JOD (75 717 093 USD) compared to 44 588 661 JOD (63 380 998) in 2009.
