The new amendments to the code of Kenyan insurance could put many local insurers in difficult situations.
They will have a hard time to comply with the new rules juged binding.
Insurance companies will have until the end of 2018 to meet the new minimum capital requirements. They must also respect the new claims settlement period that went from 90 to 30 days.
