The African Trade Insurance Agency (ATI) will soon begin operating in Zimbabwe and Ethiopia. Created in 2001 by African States with the World Bank support, the organization aims to promote investments and to back up the economic development of Southern and Eastern Africa.
The ATI currently has 12 member countries, namely; Benin, Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
