Standard & Poor's (S&P) has confirmed Al Khaleej Takaful's long-term credit and financial strength ratings of "BBB +".
The outlook for this rating remains stable. S&P justifies its decision by the good technical profitability of the company and its risk-adjusted capitalization.
As for the 2017 results, the Qatari insurer posted a net profit of 14.6 million QAR (4.04 million USD), up by 10.6% compared to 13.2 million QAR (3.63 million USD) in 2016.
The technical result of Takaful operations increased by 6.7% at 49.5 million QAR (13.7 million USD) compared to 46.4 million QAR (12.8 million USD) in 2016. The combined ratio stabilized at 80%.
