Sharp growth in profits for the Jordanian insurance market in the first half of 2018

The consolidated profits of 21 insurance companies operating on the local market increased by 332% in the first half of 2018 compared to the same period of the previous year.

The total profits of the 21 companies out of the 23 operating in Jordan amounted to 9.551 million JOD against 2,211 million JOD generated in the first half of 2017.

Only four insurers reported losses during the period under review while the other 17 companies posted good results.
