On Thursday, October 11th, the two ships, which had remained wedged together, were disentangled under the effect of waves and attempts to pull them apart. The hole left on the right side of the CLS Virginia leaked between 40 and 200m3 of fuel.

- towing

- deaths and bodily injuries

In the case of Ulysse's collision with CLS Virginia, the amount of compensation could reach 40 million TND (14.19 million USD), excluding compensation for marine pollution.
It should be noted that the Cypriot shipowner obtained provisional seizure of the vessel Carthage, another property of COTUNAV, in order to force the Tunisian carrier to give him a letter of guarantee of reimbursement pending the results of the expert appraisal proving or not responsibility for the collision.
