Jul 2008 The new company Gulf Reinsurance has obtained agreement from the authorities to operate from Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Fruit of the joint venture between Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC) and Arch Capital Group Ltd. (Arch Capital), Gulf Re, which was set up in March 2008, is endowed with a capital of 400 million USD 50% of which is paid up.
The agency A.M. Best has granted Gulf Re the rating ‘A-' (Excellent) with stable outlook.
