CCR Re launches 157 Re, the first sidecar domiciled in France

CCR-ReThe Caisse Centrale de Réassurance (CCR) has set up «157 Re» the first ever French insurance linked securities instrument. The ILS will be incepting on April 1st 2019 via the first compartment named «157 Re 19». This initiative will enhance the development of an ILS market in France.

CCR Re, sponsor of 157 Re will be assuming a 25% quota share of its worldwide property cat portfolio. This operation was assisted by:

  • Willis Towers Watson Securities, acting as structuring agent
  • France Titrisation, acting as management company
  • BNP Paribas Securities Services, acting as custodian
  • Linklaters, acting as transaction counsel
  • Clyde & Co, acting as counsel to CCR Re on the reinsurance matters.
