Zurich completes the acquisition of OnePath Life

Zurich Insurance GroupZurich Insurance has completed the acquisition of OnePath Life. The purchase of the life insurance activities of the banking group ANZ will bring 6 million new customers to the Swiss insurer.

Announced in December 2017, this takeover worth 2.85 billion USD allows Zurich to control 20% of the Australian retail life insurance market.

A 20-year distribution agreement has been signed between Zurich and ANZ Simultaneously. The insurer will market its life products via the bank's 630 agencies.
