Turkey has witnessed a significant increase in the demands for natural catastrophe [4] insurance following the torrential rains that have hit the country in recent years.
Storms account for half of all disasters. Rainfall, hail, and landslides have resulted in a multitude of disasters.
According to the Insurance Association of Turkey, during the first five months of 2019, natural catastrophe insurance's premiums increased by 25% compared to the same period of 2018.
